| The franchisor company is called Nineteen O One Sdn Bhd as 1901 is the year the term “hot dog” was born in St. Louis, Missouri, USA. The company was formed in July 1997 since it was the official National Hot Dog month in the USA. We are the franchisor for the 1901 Hot Dog franchisor and own the rights and marks globally. We are also a registered franchisor with the Ministry of Entrepreneur and Cooperative Development (MECD). Our 1901 Hot Dogs are “Halal” certified and cater to all walks of life. Being a local born franchise, we have grown by leaps and bounds to be the premier branding the country. |

Under the guidance of the founding members comprising of husband and wife team of Y.M.Tengku Rozidar T.Z. Abidin (CEO)and Ahmad Zakir Ja’afar (ED), the company has grown from its humble beginning of a single pushcart in Sunway Pyramid, to a total of 47 outlets of which 38 of these outlets are currently franchised.
The tremendously good response and sales have established 1901 Hot Dog as the leading hot dog fast food franchise brand in Malaysia based on the influence of the western media that has sparked the success of the fast food restaurant business in the country.

Nineteen O One Sdn Bhd was awarded the “Most Promising Franchisor of the Year for 2000/2001” by the Malaysian Franchise Association. The purpose of the award to recognise the achievements of up and coming enterprising franchisor who are well position for the future based on evaluations by ministry and association officials. Evaluation criteria include the franchisor’s management, the development of the franchise business as well as having a sound franchise system.

| The Malaysian Superbrands Council awarded Nineteen O One Sdn Bhd with the “Consumer Superbrands 2003/2004 status. The Malaysian Council is part of the Brand Council in United Kingdom with affiliate branch council spanning over 27 countries around the world. We have been selected from brands highly rated by the independent and voluntary Superbrands judging Panel. The judging Panel consists of eminent figures in the world of branding. The judging criteria would be where “A Superbrand offers consumers significant emotional and physical advantage over its competitors that customers want, recognise and are willing to pay a premium for.
